New England Country Day School

Preschool Program

New England Country Day School's Preschool Program provides the opportunity for young people to experience education in a stimulating and creative environment. Our primary goal is to provide a strong foundation for future learning in all areas including intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. The Preschool Program begins at 9:00am and ends at 12:30pm.

The Preschool Program Curriculum is planned using monthly themes, which are the major focal point for weekly classroom activities, using seasons, holidays, and other major events for inspiration. Themes are used as a foundation for implementing developmentally appropriate lessons in all areas from manipulative and sensory play, to art exploration, cooking and science, to reading and dramatic play and outdoor play time. In addition, monthly Highlights introduce exciting people and events in history or a creative thought to add to the day's learning activities and to broaden each child's experiences. By celebrating events from Loiuse Braille Day to Hug A Friend Day to Pooh's Birthday, we encourage a greater awareness and appreciation for diversity.

The following program schedule is offered 3, 4 or 5 days per week:
